These motors pack a higher torque and power in a lower centre height so that an economic solution can be provided for the customer in these times of high copper and steel prices.
If the existing motor requires a torque upgrade to increase the line speed, these motors can be dropped in place with minimum mechanical modifications
The low inertia and high power of the motors allow superior performance in applications like shears and tailbrakes which require quick acceleration and deceleration.
The mechanical structure has been made very robust to ensure vibration free running at all speeds.
The designs are capable of a high field weakening range.
Good commutation is ensured for higher brush and commutator life.
Reliability of these motors has been accorded a higher importance than Cost and the mechanical design is robust and ideally suited for applications like rolling mills.

Laminated Yoke, Fabricated End Shells and Cast End Cover and bearing assembly
Cylindrical Roller Bearing on the Drive End and Ball Bearing on the Non-Drive End and non contact labyrinth seals
Large Terminal Box suitable for Aluminum cable termination
Larger blower motor, blower and filter to improve cooling and decrease the maintenance frequency.
